As Vice President, Investment Management, Paul MacFarlane oversees the real estate investments that MacFarlane Partners manages on behalf of its capital partners, including operating properties and current and future development projects in markets nationwide.

Paul serves as an asset and development manager and operates as the market expert for each of the cities in which the firm’s properties are located. His work includes developing and pursuing future investment strategies, preparing market and financial reports, and monitoring asset performance relative to the firm’s risk/return objectives.

Career Overview

Paul has 11 years of real estate experience at MacFarlane Partners, during which he has been involved in the underwriting, development, management and disposition of more than $3 billion in property assets. He began his tenure with the firm as an investment analyst and helped manage and oversee a $1 billion fund with assets in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

Past Experience

Prior to joining MacFarlane Partners, Paul worked as a project coordinator for the National Association of Colored People’s social networking hub, NAACP Connect. He worked within the communications department and helped craft the voice of the association through social media. He also helped NAACP’s communications branch in writing press releases, national petitions and op-ed pieces.
